Triple Carbon Reduction Wins £3.5M Enroute Carbon Neutrality 2030

The UK water regulator Ofwat has awarded £3.5M to Anglian Water and partners, including Brunel University, London, as part of a £36M investment in water innovation. In the Water Breakthrough Challenge, the team came up with an innovative Triple Carbon Reduction solution. The Triple Carbon Reduction solution helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and electricity consumption in the treatment of used water. It will also produce Green hydrogen, a renewable energy source to electrolyze hydrogen from water. By 2030, this triple carbon reduction strategy will help the world reach net carbon neutrality.
